Buccaneers Announce 2009 Percussion Team
READING, PA (November 23, 2008) - The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps today announced the designers and instructors that will lead the corps' percussion section for the 2009 season.
"The Buccaneers' percussion program is outstanding," said staff coordinator Carl Ruocco. "Every year, I'm in awe of what this ensemble accomplishes with only weekends to rehearse, and a shortened winter rehearsal schedule due to indoor programs. This ensemble's success is a tribute not only to the great talent that fills the line each year, but also to the great writing and teaching that Rich Hammond and his entire team bring to the table. Buccaneers Announce 2009 Visual and Color Guard Designers and Instructors
READING, PA (November 15, 2008) - The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps announced its visual and color guard design and instructional team for the 2009 season.
"This staff is exceptional," said Buccaneers Staff Coordinator Carl Ruocco. "The Buccaneers have traditionally enjoyed a strong visual program. This is due not only to the talent of the staff and membership, but also its commitment to teamwork and building a well-coordinated program. This visual team works well together and designs and teaches a program that fits seamlessly with the musical production." Ruocco expects to continue in that tradition in 2009. Reading Buccaneers Capture Eighth World Championship
Complete Fourth Consecutive Undefeated Championship Season
READING, PA (September 2, 2008) – The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps captured its eighth world title over Labor Day weekend with two wins at the 44th Annual Drum Corps Associates World Championships at Paetec Park in Rochester, NY.
The win completed an undefeated season and marked the fourth consecutive undefeated championship for the Reading-based corps. Since June, 2005, the corps has won every contest it has entered, a streak of 39 wins. The corps set a record during the preliminary round of competition on Saturday night with a score of 98.138 out of 100.

Buccaneers Design and Instructional Leadership to Return for 2009 Campaign
Membership Day 2009 Announced
READING, PA (August 31, 2008) - The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps announced today that the corps' design and instructional nucleus will return to lead the corps for the 2009 season.
Returning as Staff Coordinator will be Carl Ruocco. Rich Hammond will reprise his roles as Program Coordinator and Percussion Arranger and Caption Head. Jay Bocook's brass arrangements will be taught to the corps by a staff led by Caption Head Gino Cipriani and Assistant Caption Head Michael Britcher. Mark Lortz will again write the front ensemble book and Christopher Feist will coordinate the percussion battery. Steve Vincent will return as Color Guard Designer and Caption Head, and Bobby Jones will return as Visual Designer and Caption Head.
