How do I register for the 2025 RBCG?
-
You can follow this link to register! https://www.readingbuccaneers.org/register
Do I need to RSVP for April camp?
-
Yes! Once you register, you will eventually follow the steps to sign up/create a Knack account. Once you have that information, you need to go to “attendance”, click on the drop down menu under “events” then RSVP as “I’m in” for each of the dates for April camp (April 25th, 26th, and 27th). You must submit one for each date. If you have to miss any portion of April camp, please let a captain/staff member know ASAP.
Who do I contact if I have a question?
-
Once you register, you should get an invitation to our communication app we use for the whole corps (Discord). Once you get into that you can DM either a captain (Jacob Allison, Holly Kubek, Bryce Miller-Dickson), the Caption Manager (Tyler Leynes), or the Caption Head (Mitch Meussner)
What do I need to bring for April camp?
-
The captains have made a “camp packing list” for you to use! https://docs.google.com/document/d/15cc9gmY9IdMQ-qLAkGiYKscrqZ9o0aI74QX3FdQ0h0I/edit?usp=sharing
Do I need to bring any of my own equipment?
-
All equipment is provided, but weapons are very limited so you should bring your own if you have them.
Where do I sleep during the weekend?
-
The corps does not provide housing for the season except for Championships, so you will need to find someone to house with at night. To help aid this problem, there is a “#housing” channel in the Discord you can post in to help you search for somewhere to stay the night.
Is there food provided?
-
No, there is no food provided during April camp, so we suggest bringing a cooler full of food to keep you nourished throughout the weekend. However, if you would like, you can also go out and get food during breaks as well (just make sure you get back to block on time).
What should I expect out of this audition process?
-
To be challenged, learn new things, and meet new people! The staff is mostly looking for people who are willing to try new things and take corrections quickly! This will be a hard process, so just make sure you are kind to yourself while learning choreography/technique
We are so excited to meet everyone at auditions!
