Michael Wright

Baritone Technician

Michael Wright is returning for his sixth season with the Reading Buccaneers, and his second season as the Baritone visual tech. He started his drum corps career in 2016 with Fusion Core and has been with the Buccaneers every year from 2017-2024. He had the time of his life joining the incredible visual staff in 2022 and can't wait to keep building on the momentum the corps created last summer (there's a "Can't Stop Won't Stop" joke in there somewhere).

In his non-drum corps life, Michael works as an Operations Manager at Villanova University and teaches marching band at Phoenixville High School. He also loves cooking and hanging out with his dog Archie (ask him for pictures, there are thousands).

Mike McNeal

Visual Technician

Mike McNeill is proudly looking forward to returning to The Reading Buccaneers Visual Staff in 2023 for their inaugural season of DCI All-Age.

A graduate of River Hill HS (Columbia, MD) and Penn State University, Mike has spent the majority of their life involved in the marching arts. Following seven seasons as a baritone performer with Jersey Surf (2008-2010) and The Cadets (2011-2014), Mike joined the Buccaneers in 2015 as a Visual Instructor. Between their experiences in the arts and their studies of health sciences, Mike relishes in the ability to meld the two in order to perfect the visual performance of the members.

While away from the Buccaneers, Mike resides in Newark, DE, working as a paramedic for the local government.
