Kevin Wrightstone

Staff Coordinator

Kevin is excited to begin his 3rd year with the Reading Buccaneers. As a visual designer, consultant and judge, he has worked with many marching bands, indoor color guards, and adjudicated throughout the east coast. “The past two years have been an exciting journey to be a Buccaneer. To now be part of Drum Corp Internationals All-Age Corps will be an opportunity to showcase the Reading Buccaneers on the world stage.”

Nicholas Tavares

Artistic Coordinator

Nicholas resides in Wilmington, Delaware and is very involved in the marching arts community in the area.  2024 will mark Nicholas' 14 year of involved with the Buccaneers, 3rd as the Artistic Coordinator.  In the past, Nicholas has been extremely fortunate to have worked with a number of groups in the Mid-Atlantic region earning numerous awards and accolades including Field of View Winter Guard, Middletown High School (Delaware), Cab Calloway School of the Arts, and William Penn High School.  Nicholas has had an extensive marching career including the Reading Buccaneers 2009-2011, Black Watch Color Guard 2009-2010, Apex Winter 1999-2003, 2005-2008 and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps 2000.  Nicholas is also an active adjudicator with the National Judges Association throughout the fall and winter seasons.  

 

Nicholas has two degrees in Early Childhood Education and Development and is the Program and Curriculum Coordinator of the Siegel Jewish Community Center--Early Childhood Center in Wilmington, Delaware.

Paul Cullen

Ensemble Coordinator

Returning for his 3rd year as Ensemble & Music Coordinator for 2024, Paul is entering his 11th year overall with the Buccaneers having previously served the corps as Mellophone Music Instructor (2011 & 2018-2019) and Brass Caption Head (2012-2015).

 

Since 1999, Paul has served in many roles in the marching arts including: performer, drum major, music technician, caption head, coordinator, composer, arranger, editor, consultant and adjudicator. He has been actively involved with drum corps, marching bands, concert bands, wind ensembles and percussion ensembles, as well as having served as music designer and editor for numerous independent and scholastic winter guard programs throughout the United States.

 

Having been in the activity for the past 25 years, Paul's experience includes work with The Syracuse Brigadiers (2001-2009), The Boston Crusaders (2008), The Reading Buccaneers (2011-2015 & 2018-Present), The Cadets (2011), Jersey Surf (2014), Fusion Core (2016) and Cadets2 (2017). In the fall Paul, has been actively involved with several Marching Band Programs in the North East such as North Penn High School (PA), Hatboro-Horsham High School (PA), Central Bucks High School South (PA), Hempstead High School (NY), Lindenhurst High School (NY), Howard High School (MD), Dallastown High School (PA), Boyertown Area High School (PA), Liberty High School (MD), South Fort Myers High School (FL), Lemon Bay High School (FL), Norwich High School (NY), Huntington High School (NY), New Hartford High School (NY) and Norristown Area High School (PA). He has also performed with the Princeton Brass Band from 2016-2019. Paul is an active adjudicator of bands with Tournament of Bands, Cavalcade of Bands, US Bands, New Jersey Marching Band Directors Association and has adjudicated several independent shows throughout the East Coast. 

 

Paul resides in North Wales, PA with his wife, Lisa, and their children Madison (RBCG alum ’19 & '22) and Riley. He is extremely excited to continue serving the wonderful people of the Reading Buccaneers!

Steve Rinda

Drill Designer

Steve Rinda is excited to be home again at the Reading Buccaneers for the 2022 season.  Steve has been involved with DCA since 1997 as a member of the Bushwackers.  He spent ten years with that organization as a member, visual captionhead, and visual designer.  In the last fifteen years, he has also been on staff with the Connecticut Hurricanes and the visual designer for the Carolina Gold and Fusion.  He spent three years on the visual staff of the Reading Buccaneers from 2012-2014.  He also has designed numerous shows for high school bands in the region and around the country.
